Referral Tracking at Trans Atlantic Sports
At Trans Atlantic Sports we operate a referral tracking system which enables all contributing parties to benefit in a win/win scenario. As with any good Management Information System, we track orders through the site. In addition to this functionality however, we have developed a unique software system that allows us to track the source of all purchases made. This involved a great deal of work by a team of dedicated programmers, but as it was developed in-house we were able to avoid the huge financial cost of purchasing a software package - 6 figure sums were quoted. To any of our affiliate, this means that there is no fee to join the system. We generate a link which our affiliates place on their website. In turn we can then track any purchases made which have originated from the affiliate site. As a result a percentage is paid to the affiliate site based on purchases i.e. not on 'clicks', 'hits' or number of visitors. Who can apply?
In our information section we state that 'We are committed to providing the best service to European sports fans. We are dedicated to providing access to fans to allow them to order quality products from the World Wide Web by means of the Internet. We are American/Canadian sports fanatics and through our partnership with the companies listed on this site, we faithfully support the growth of the sports in Europe. We ensure that money is put back into the sport.' However, the nature of the affiliate site does not need to be US/Canadian sports based, although we will not link to any site deemed inappropriate for public viewing.
